Upcoming Depression Series

I’m going to spend the next few days talking about my own experience with depression in order to promote more awareness of the many faces this disease can take, the mental processes that go on in the mind of the depressed person, and outward symptoms and behaviors others will see.

I originally planned this to be one post, but it quickly grew into a much bigger project than I anticipated.  In the interest of not boring anyone with one exceptionally long post, I’m going to share the information in shorter bursts, potentially giving me the chance to bore you with four (or more) shorter posts instead.  I’m not done yet, so I’m not sure how long it’s going to be when I get to the end.  I have four posts currently planned, but more may become necessary.  The links below will become active as the posts are published (these are all working titles and subject to change).

If anyone has any questions about anything related to this topic, feel free to email me through the contact form instead of commenting if that makes you more comfortable (when emailing, please let me know if I can refer publicly, such as in a future post, to the information shared or question asked, though I won’t use any identifying information).  However, I’m going to enable anonymous commenting on this series of posts so no one has to use any names if they don’t want to and can say whatever they like without fear of being identified by another reader.  If it’s something you’d like me to address in detail, or cover in a post, let me know that as well.  If this is a topic that interests, I’ll cover as much of it as you like.  Any requests or thoughts here at the beginning?
