Upcoming Series on Procrastination

I enjoyed the process and final result of my previous series on Depression, so I’ve decided to  undertake another one.  This time I have a topic that probably hits closer to home for more of you.

Procrastination.  We all do it, some of us more than others.  Some can keep it to a minimum and still get everything done; for others, it can be almost a disease that keeps them from doing anything.  Most of us, though, fall somewhere in the middle ground.  Sometimes it’s a problem, sometimes it’s not, and sometimes it’s just a stressful inconvenience and a nuisance.

I’m going to go over the hows and whys of procrastinating, and hopefully give you a little information you didn’t have before.  Knowledge is power, so understanding how and why we procrastinate is the first step toward controlling it.  I’ll close with some tips on how to manage this behavior by eliminating the reasons we procrastinate and the methods by which we do so.  I look forward to hearing your tips and insight along the way, so please chime in wherever you feel you have something to share or add.

We may not be cured of procrastinating by the end, but we’ll at least have a better handle on it.
